![]() ![]() Technology in the areas of transportation, farming, weaponry, and manufacturing has progressed at a rate that is hard to fathom. After WWI, the USSR gathered its brightest minds in science and made a groundbreaking discovery: neuro-polymers. ![]() It's set in a parallel universe where the Soviet Union developed cutting-edge technology decades before its actual time. In Atomic Heart, you take the role of Major Sergey Nechayev, aka codenamed Agent P-3, a resident of a Soviet Empire where polymer technology developed by Doctor Sechenov has led to significant scientific breakthroughs. It has a rather thought-provoking narrative, gameplay, and perks, but it seems as though the developers have tried to do a lot of different things at once, which causes the game to almost always be in conflict with itself. Although the game doesn't bring anything groundbreaking in terms of its design decisions, it still offers some delight and sighting. This first-person shooter looks great, as promised, but the question is whether or not it will be as good as it promises to be as a whole. Some parts of the game signify smallish details from BioShock, but most design decisions are introduced innovatively. Although there was still some uncertainty about it, while many had also dubbed it a clone of the BioShock series, let me be clear: it is not. Few individuals throughout social media have tried to unfairly boycott the Cyprus-based company in response to the Russian-Ukraine war, but that didn't stop Mundfish team from working on the project. ![]() Since 2017, more than five years have been spent developing Atomic Heart, and finally, the first Mundfish game is out. Hope this may help someone at least. We were immediately drawn to Atomic Heart's unique visual flair and intriguing context when it was first introduced at the E3 2018. Only thing I can think of is maybe I've done something before even initiating the boss fight within the arena thats somehow voided the achievement before it's even began possibly? I did set off some alerts and fought some robots outside the arena doors whilst stood instead before making my pre-boss save so it's entirely possible. I also then decided to load back to a previous save BEFORE entering the arena that I had in one of the mushroom buildings and NOT just loading my save IN the arena immediately before the fight.ĭeposited EVERYTHING except heals, proceeded to open the door via the camera using the tower and then to lower the HAWK and zipline in and beat Hedgie only using the 5 statues and not even swinging my fists and it unlocked. Moved on with the game a bit (after raising the mirror) but other achievements were unlocking and the tracker going up like normal for my collectibles.ĭecided to delete my save from the console and do a hard reset, (despite having done a few hard resets and it not unlocking regardless) not sure if restoring my save from the cloud made a difference or not. Had the issue today doing it as many as 5 times and the achievement not unlocking. First run you destroyed 4/5, Second run you destroyed 3/5 but the achievement still pops because you've destroyed each unique statue). Try your best to remember what statues you didn't destroy and target smashing those first as this does seem to be cumulative over multiple reloads. If you failed to destroy all 5 statues during the fight reload your save and try again. Rinse and repeat this technique until you've smashed all 5 statues and killed Hedgie. Hedgie will crash to the ground, where you can hit another weak point. Once zapped another statue will raise out of the ground, use this as cover again to block a charged attack. Keep your distance and heal where needed until another terminal pops out the ground you can zap with the Electric Shok. Hedgie will do various charge attacks which can be dodged and ground shock waves which you can jump over. Now we have to try our best to stay alive until we can raise another statue. Here you can get a few blows in with the melee weapon hitting the orange nodes. Stand behind this first one and Hedgie should charge into it, crashing to the floor and exposing a weak spot. These are the statues mentioned in the achievement description. To start the boss encounter you need to raise a statue out of the floor using your electric attack. Run speed and dodge upgrades under the "Character" category are also useful for evading attacks. Fill the remaining inventory slots with health capsules to keep yourself alive. I suggest storing all your firearms (you won't be shooting) but keeping hold of a melee weapon (allowed). Hedgie can be found at the entrance of the "Exhibition" during the mission "The Brave New World." As you enter the boss fight arena you'll find a upgrade station and save point. ![]()
